You will show us that you have
At least one year’s experience working within a creative agency at Midweight level.
A diverse and beautiful portfolio that tells the story from idea generation to recognisable results.
Strong branding skills.
You will definitely need to be

Able to take direction from all angles without losing sight of the original brief and goals.
A natural collaborator and a willingness to support less experienced members of the team.
Own your ideas within the original brief and goals, striving for creative excellence on all projects. In time, start to own smaller jobs with input from the Senior or Design Director (from start to finish where possible).
Teach and mentor interns and juniors
Learn continuously, particularly through working closely with the strategy team to gain an increased understanding of the strategic direction on projects, and how you use this to inform your work. Expand your knowledge and sector understanding through tailored learning and development initiatives.
Improve and inspire creative excellence at all levels, from higher education outreach and portfolio reviews to close collaboration with client management and strategy to translate creative briefs into award-winning work.
Within 1 month, you’ll:
Complete our onboarding process, including learning the nuts and bolts of our business through inductions with key members of the wider team.
Work alongside a Design Director to fully understand the role of Design within Pearlfisher and the impact it makes both in and outside of the business.
Take and implement direction well from the Senior Designer/Design Director and develop a point of view about your own work and that of others.
Provide proactive support to the design team, helping to build and develop our clients’ brands.
Bring enthusiasm and energy to everything you do.
Within 3 months, you’ll:
Work in a connected, agile and imaginative way with the broader Pearlfisher team.
Work closely with the Senior Designer/Design Director to translate their creative direction into amazing work, ensuring Pearlfisher maintains the highest design standards, with the aim of delivering award-winning, effective work on every project.
Generate and create multiple ideas (and build on others’ ideas in design crits). Ensure your ideas have meaning and clearly link to the creative brief and help to deliver creative excellence on projects.
Present your work in internal reviews using the relevant media, eg: written ideas, sketches, mood boards and increasingly look for involvement in client meetings where possible.
Have a good understanding of the creative brief and ensure it connects strongly to your work.
Develop an increased knowledge and understanding of the Realisation process.
Begin to mentor more junior members of the team.
Within 6 months, you’ll:
Be a valued part of a collaborative and purposeful team.
Demonstrate a self-awareness and ability to communicate up and down.
Start to own smaller jobs with input from the Senior or Design Director (from start to finish where possible).
You will report to a Design Director.
